The medieval longsword is the one most people picture when they hear the word "sword": straight, double-edged, a simple cross guard, and a grip built for one hand or two depending on what the moment asked for. It stayed in service across Europe from roughly the 1300s to the 1600s because the design was hard to improve on.
This is a reproduction in that style — stainless steel, 39 inches overall, supplied with a scabbard. Made for display rather than for the field, but built to the proportions the originals used, which is what separates a reproduction from a fantasy piece.
